Bruno, good question!
"Wind knots" as you call them, in this case are due to more than one coil of line at a time coming off the spool. That looks like a good candidate right there!! The oscillation of that spool is better suited to larger diameter lines. I'd load it with a braid size similar to mono. You might want to put 50 or 65 Power Pro on that. Just remember not to set the drag too high and break the blank.

well, there is now 40# whiplash on it it is just slightly thinner than the recomended 20# mono

as owner of a few 'staals, I have found that you have to match the line diameters to the reels very carefully, ex: vs 150 - 10 lb suffix, levels perfectly, while 10 lb Ande, tends to load top heavy like your pic, and putting 12 lb suffix will make t load top heavy also, but 15 seems to load perfect.
Gave up fidgeting, so backed all of mine with 30lb dacron, 1/2 spool, loaded bottom heavy, and topshotted with mono of my choice. they all level pretty closely, except the vs100 with10lb, if need more help, email me for a better description
