I posted this to show the step-down of the Lamiglas butt. The Titanium was 21 3/32" long. It was .371" right next to the blank. The blank was .310" right by the Titanium.

I posted another picture a few days later that shows a green marble buttwrap over this titanium butt. I first wrapped in front of the titanium for 3/4" with D thread, then wrapped over that for about half of the distance to protect this area and to create a stepdown in the area.

Did they make these like this? or is this something you did? I encountered something similiar to this on an old Eagle Claw rod that was brought to me to repair the reel seat.
